Micky

“Micky è una grande Anima. È arrivato da noi due anni e mezzo fa, aveva già 6 anni e aveva corso (riuscendo a scampare alla morte) per ben 4 anni. Su un lato ha tutte le costole fratturate e rinsaldate da sole senza cure (segno che deve avere avuto qualche brutta caduta o, peggio, essere stato bastonato). Ma Micky, nonostante le paure che ancora ha se cerchiamo di fargli le coccole in modo “grossolano”, dimostra un affetto incondizionato per chi si prende cura di lui. Sabato scorso ha incontrato Norma Fogarty, una delle persone che lo hanno accudito in Irlanda a LAW. Avvicinandolo all’inizio a lei si è comportato come fa con tutti, ma qualche secondo dopo ha riconosciuto il suo odore e subito è impazzito per farle le feste e darle tanti bacetti sul viso. Micky non dimentica mai chi gli ha voluto bene, nonostante quello che ha subito in passato. Mio grande Micky, sei un grande esempio ed un faro che illumina il nostro cammino. Grazie!

Micky is a great Soul. He came to us two and a half ago, when he was already six years old and had raced (managing to escape death) for 4 long years. On one side all his ribs had been fractured and had healed on their own without treatment (which means he must have had a bad fall, or worse still, had been beaten). But Micky, despite the fears he still has if we try to cuddle him in a ‘rough’ manner, shows unconditional affection for those who take care of him. On Saturday he met Norma Fogarty, one of the people who cared for him at LAW in Ireland. Initially when he approached her he behaved like he does with everybody, but after a few seconds he recognized her smell and immediately went crazy with delight, jumping up and licking her repeatedly on the face. Micky never forgets those who have loved him, despite what he has suffered in the past. My wonderful Micky, you are a great example and a beacon that lights our way.
