Motivazione del premio: “In recognition of your determination to save greyhounds far and wide”.
Thank you so much, I am really moved. On behalf of Pet Levrieri, Massimo Greco and myself I would like to thank our friends Christine Dorchak and Carey Theil, the board of GREY2K USA Worldwide and our friends at the Irish Council Against Blood Sports for this award.
It is a great honour for me to accept this award from you here in Ireland alongside Marion Fitzgibbon and Albano Martins.
Marion and Albano are a real inspiration to me. They have given me and taught me so much. They are two people of rare integrity and courage, as well as being loyal and generous friends. And finally, it is an honour to receive this award right here in Ireland, surrounded by many Irish friends and allies, at whose side I have been working and fighting for years to help build a future for greyhounds without racing and coursing, a future in which their rights are respected.Your determination, courage, and deep love for greyhounds and lurchers are a source of constant inspiration to me.
Thank you all.
I dedicate this award to all of you and to the whole team at Pet Levrieri, who have been working together with Massimo and myself for years helping rescued greyhounds, lurchers and galgos.
I hope that in the not too distant future we may meet again in Ireland to celebrate together the end of greyhound racing and coursing.
